Overview

This course will be offered as a live, in-person conference in Miami, FL and will also be offered in livestream format. When registering, you will be required to choose in-person or livestream. 

Livestream participation is to be viewed during the livestreaming hours posted for the course. This course is not intended, nor approved, as an on-demand learning activity. The recorded lectures take approximately 2-3 weeks to be posted on the course dashboard and ABIM MOC credit must be claimed within 30 days of the livestream course.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The program will review the spectrum of advanced cardiovascular imaging including echocardiography, MRI, CT, and nuclear cardiology for the providers caring for patients with cardiovascular disease. An expert faculty will discuss the relevant advances in techniques and limitation of each modality. Presentations will provide a comprehensive update on the clinical uses of various imaging modalities in the diagnosis, prognosis, and management of cardiovascular diseases. Program topics will include valvular heart disease, coronary heart disease, myocardial disease, and functional assessment.

SPECIAL SESSION: Point of Care Ultrasound
This is a special session for the physician, trainee, or advanced practice provider hoping to obtain a fundamental understanding of echocardiography and implement the principles at the bedside. Participants will have an opportunity to hone their skills in a small group setting utilizing simulated patient volunteers and simulation equipment. Space is limited for this session.

INTENDED AUDIENCE
This course is designed for the cardiologists, radiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, general internists, internal medicine subspecialists, sonographers, radiology technologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other primary healtchare providers interested in approriate imaging for cardiovascular disease assessment and diagnosis. 


To reinforce the knowledge gained from the course and ensure lasting value to each attendee's practice, Mayo Clinic provides access to all course presentations with video recordings after the completion of the course. You must have attended the live course as an attendee in order to access these recordings.
