Mayo Clinic Vascular Symposium

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this conference is to not only provide an overview of the current issues in peripheral vascular disease, but to step into the future of peripheral vascular disease evaluation and management with sessions on the application of genomics and robotics. Through didactic and interactive sessions, this conference will highlight the multidisciplinary approach to peripheral vascular disease including: vascular surgery, vascular medicine, interventional radiology, cardiology, and other specialists at Mayo Clinic. Workshops and poster abstract presentations will be of interest to various vascular specialists and trainees.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Discuss the current challenges with complex aortic aneurysmal disease
• Review the updated guideline recommendations for peripheral arterial disease
• Integrate peripheral vascular disease findings and recommended vascular laboratory studies
• Review current approaches to large and small vessel vasculitis
• Identify best approaches to congenital arteriopathy evaluation and management
• Describe updated approaches to carotid disease acute stroke management
• Discuss latest approaches to vascular malformations
• Describe new approaches to lymphatic disease evaluation and management
• Discuss latest guideline recommendations for management of venous thromboembolic disease
• Identify techniques for complex vascular access
• Outline updated endovascular approaches to acute and critical limb ischemia 
• Discuss updates on stem cell therapy for vascular disease
