Overview
Vascular rings and slings are increasingly diagnosed with the advent of fetal screening and frequency of cross-sectional imaging. There are a wide variety of types and management depends on anatomy, age and symptoms.
Objectives:
- Understand the major types of vascular rings and slings
- Recognize appropriate work-up as part of a vascular ring or sling diagnosis
- Understand aspects to surgical repair strategies and how they can be age-dependent
Target Audience
It is a topic of interest to cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, oncologists, general internists, radiologists, and all groups of providers including trainees, NP/PA’s, and physicians.
