COURSE DESCRIPTION
Echo Orlando is designed to provide a state-of-the-art review of the current uses and limitations of two-dimensional echocardiography, Doppler, and color flow imaging in the assessment of adult myocardial, ischemic, pericardial, and valvular disease. Traditional topics in the field of echocardiography including assessment of systolic and diastolic function, quantitative Doppler, and stress echocardiography will be presented. In addition, contemporary techniques including 3-D echo, interventional echo, stress echo in non-ischemic conditions, artificial intelligence, strain imaging, and lung ultrasound will be discussed. A case-based format will be used.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Apply Doppler principles and hemodynamics to the systematic and peri-procedural and post-procedural assessment of prosthetic valves
• Review the role of echocardiography to quantify left ventricular systolic and diastolic function
• Recognize echocardiographic features of complications of myocardial infarction
• Identify characteristic echocardiographic features of cardiac tumors and masses
• Evaluate patients undergoing structural heart disease procedures

INTENDED AUDIENCE
This course is intended for adult and congenital cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and cardiac sonographers who have basic experience and knowledge in echocardiography.  This course is also intended for other medical specialists, internists, surgeons and anesthesiologists working to further their experience in clinical application of echocardiography.
