Airports:
When flying to Telluride, guests have several airport options from which to choose:
- Montrose-Telluride Regional Airport (MTJ) - 75 minutes to Mountain Village. This is the most common airport, however, also more prone to closures due to weather.
- Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) - 2.5 hours to Mountain Village
- Durango-La Plata Reginal Airport (DRO) - 2.5 hours to Mountain Village
- Telluride Airport (TEX) - not recommended due to frequent cancellations

Telluride Express is the most popular transportation. To book a reservation, call 800-822-4844 or book online here. Most common for Telluride and Montrose airports. Approximately cost from Montrose is $81.24++ one way.

From The Peaks Resort to Telluride, the Gondola is less than a 5 minute walk, and will take you into town. The Gondola ride is complimentary and takes 12-15 minutes to get into Telluride. Hours of operation is 7 am to midnight. Once in the town, you can take the complimentary shuttle around town - this shuttle is called "Galloping Goose" and is just a small bus. Dial-A-Ride is also available in the Village of Telluride.
Ubers/Lyfts are not available in town.
