Overview:
Join Mayo Clinic experts, Dr. Omar Abou Ezzeddine, Director of the Cardiac Sarcoid Clinic, and Dr. Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, Director of Nuclear Cardiology and Department Education Chair, for this hour-long webinar on the comprehensive approach to inflammatory cardiomyopathy. The course will cover the epidemiology, pathogenesis, assessment, and management of patients with suspected or known inflammatory cardiomyopathy, including sarcoid myocarditis. Advanced imaging techniques for these patients will also be explored.
Objectives:
- Gain an understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of inflammatory cardiomyopathy
- Review diagnostic algorithms and the role of advanced cardiac imaging in the evaluation of suspected or known inflammatory cardiomyopathy.
- Develop a therapeutic approach for the management of inflammatory cardiomyopathy including sarcoid myocarditis.
Target Audience
It is a topic of interest to cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, oncologists, general internists, radiologists, and all groups of providers including trainees, NP/PA’s, and physicians.
