Overview:
Evaluation of patients with an acute ischemic syndrome needs to consider, in addition to more common atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, some less common etiologies.  Early coronary angiography plays an important role in identifying specific mechanisms of the clinical presentation. 

Objectives:

  1. Identify most recent classification of non-STEMI
  2. Evaluate atherothrombotic mechanisms of non-STEMI
  3. Role of early angiography in non-STEMI

Target Audience
It is a topic of interest to cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, oncologists, general internists, radiologists, and all groups of providers including trainees, NP/PA’s, and physicians.
