Mechanical complications of myocardial infarction can have a profound impact on post-infarct morbidity and mortality. Complications include cardiogenic shock, RV infarct, ischemic mitral regurgitation, aneurysm formation, and rupture syndromes.  This webinar is designed to develop a framework to recognize, diagnose, and manage mechanical complications of myocardial infarction.


  • Diagnose mechanical complications of myocardial infarction (MI)
  • Develop a framework to recognize both rupture and non-rupture mechanical complications of MI
  • Select appropriate management strategies for patients with mechanical complications of MI
