The purpose of this livestreaming course is to present state-of-the-art knowledge in cardiology with a clinically-based approach.  

The scope of the program is broad and will cover a wide spectrum of Cardiovascular Medicine but generally focused on prevention of coronary disease, stroke and sudden death.  Expert faculty will present practical clinical approaches to diagnostics and latest management strategies of challenging and controversial topics in cardiology.  Access to course recordings for one year with registration.  

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize cardiac complications of COVID-19 and steps to recover cardiorespiratory fitness after COVID-19 infection
  • Review the new paradigms in preventive cardiology, including new lipid management strategies, CVD reduction with novel drugs aimed at glucose control and ways to quit vaping
  • Review a number of controversies in CVD prevention, such as aspirin use, intermittent fasting diets and cardiac cell repair in clinical practice
