Tricuspid and Pulmonary Valve Disease
This program reviews the etiology and echocardiographic assessment of tricuspid and pulmonary valve disease. Echocardiographic examples of the key features of both stenosis and regurgitation of these valves will be presented.
Right Ventricular Function and Pulmonary Hypertension
Echocardiography is one of the most important tests in the evaluation of known or suspected pulmonary hypertension. A well performed echocardiogram provides an accurate estimation of pulmonary pressures and a host of critical prognostic variables including integrative pulmonary arterial hemodynamics, right-sided structural and functional parameters.
How to Access the Right Heart
This tutorial will review right ventricular assessment by transthoracic echocardiography. The primary focus will include techniques for optimal imaging while performing 2D and Doppler measurements of right ventricular size and function. Finally, common caveats of echocardiographic imaging, including innovative techniques will be reviewed.
