Assessment and Primary Prevention of Patients at Risk for Coronary Artery Disease
- Identify cardiovascular disease risk factors in patients without known CAD and use them to predict the risk of future coronary events
- Select appropriate noninvasive testing to risk stratify patients without known CAD
- Apply management strategies to the primary and secondary prevention of CAD, including therapies to reduce risk factors and appropriate counseling on lifestyle changes
- Initiate appropriate lipid lowering therapies to reduce risk of future events, recognizing potential side effects and drug-drug interactions
