Echocardiography is one of the most important tests in the evaluation of known or suspected pulmonary hypertension. A well performed echocardiogram provides an accurate estimation of pulmonary pressures and a host of critical prognostic variables including integrative pulmonary arterial hemodynamics, right-sided structural and functional parameters.


  • Identify the necessary components of a comprehensive transthoracic echocardiogram in patients with pulmonary hypertension
