Objectives

  • Describe the major causes of myocarditis in North America and Europe
  • Use non-invasive diagnostic testing including biomarkers, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and cardiac MRI appropriately in the evaluation of suspected myocarditis
  • Associate the role of endomyocardial biopsy to define specific histologic types of myocarditis in appropriate clinical scenarios
