COURSE DESCRIPTION
Innovations in Atrial Fibrillation and Impact on the Brain will highlight the diagnosis and management of AF and guidelines to improve the evaluation of stroke risk and appropriate use of antithrombotic therapies for stroke prevention in patients with AF. The goal of this program is to improve the evaluation of stroke risk and appropriate management for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
• Interpret practice guidelines for atrial fibrillation
• Discuss the methods for atrial fibrillation detection
• Identify appropriate anticoagulation strategies for atrial fibrillation
• Describe unusual contributors to atrial fibrillation

This program is intended cardiologists, clinical cardiac electrophysiologists, neurologists, general/internal medicine providers, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, allied healthcare clinicians, case managers, and other clinical decision makers and care team members caring for patients with AF at risk for stroke.
